Parliamentary Working Group on Gagauzia

Parliamentary Working Group on Gagauzia is the only platform for institutional political dialogue dedicated to ensuring the functioning of Gagauzia autonomy within the constitutional framework of the Republic of Moldova, based on the Law on the Special Status of Gagauzia.

Following the mandate of the President of the Parliament, in 2015 the Working Group was established, consisting of members of the Parliament and the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia, to ensure the mechanism of cooperation between Chisinau and Comrat.

The Group meets in formal and informal meetings with the aim of developing common solutions to common issues and is supported by the CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation group of national and international legal experts.
