On September 13, 2023, the CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation discussed with representatives of the civil society and expert community of Chisinau and the Gagauzia autonomy issues related to boosting the dialogue and strengthening the cooperation through broad involvement of representatives of non-governmental organizations, expert community and academia.
The discussion was held in the Chatham House format and was organized at the initiative of CMI.
During the event, the participants exchanged their views on topics related to the autonomy, discussed current issues and proposed solutions aimed at optimizing the dialogue process at the expert level.
Since 2015, CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation, with the support of Sweden, has been promoting an institutionalized and sustainable dialogue on the autonomy of Gagauzia, which involves legislators, experts and stakeholders from Chisinau, Comrat and other regions of the country who strive to find common solutions to common issues related to the autonomy of Gagauzia.
